Heinz History Center - Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum
Pittsburgh , PA

Brad Burmeister, Exhibit Production Manager at Senator John Heinz History Center worked directly with Times Square Lighting, Gormley-Farrington and Dagostino Electronic Services, Inc. to create an updated experience within the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum.
Tasked with replacing 41 theatrical fixtures that were linked to an Alcorn McBride synchronized lighting platform; the existing theatrical fixtures utilized 575 watts of power (per fixture) while the new TRIBECA fixtures lowered that energy consumption to 50 watts per fixture. The TRIBECA fixture allowed so much flexibility for Brad and his overall needs for the exhibit.
During installation, the team was also appreciative of the fixture and the capabilities that it allowed them to create the perfect experience for the museum visitor. Everyone involved noticed a significant difference in the lighting quality of the exhibits. There was a significant drop in heat that was produced from installing the new fixtures. In the end, the project was successful, utilizing the newest lighting technologies while recreating the lighting synchronization to create an updated experience at the museum for everyone to enjoy.
